THE RAIL AT 30 DAYS BEFORE THE ELECTION


The EU has declared the 5 priority railway lines submitted by Spain, this will lead to Spanish coffers an outlay of 49.8 billion euros, which will serve to build the corridor of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic axis, these facilities shall be designed to connect major Mediterranean ports and major population center and the Atlantic basin by rail to the industrial heart of Europe. 20% of that investment will pay their coffers and the rest will come out of the pockets of taxpayers, or private investment.

Given the affordability of such a colossal and costly work of the public purse it is worth recalling that the pharaonic construction of this will work out the creation of jobs until its completion in 2020, along with the benefits in the medium and long term for export products to Europe.

But against that we should start if it is true that the infrastructure is necessary, in time of crisis is questionable, because while basic services are cut and necessary for the public such as public health which try to impose by active and passive co-payment as the only solution for maintenance, or you cut education, a fundamental element for the progress of the citizens, one wonders if it really worth to invest billions in infrastructure that could pay comfortably with the benefits of brick, and now may be not only redeemed, but by generating economic benefits to the public purse.

Finally note that derrick Development Minister Jose Blac, giving figures and dates for the construction of this infrastructure, we do not know if after the 20N and his party will continue in office, and obviously there is a change of government vision may not be the same, and worse if there is change of political party in government will change things unfortunately for many citizens.
